I'm very loyal and honest with secrets, so girlfriends if you're reading, trust me I haven't told anyone about what you did to your brother did when he was was five! Anyway, raisins are fairly easy to remove from noses theses days... ; ) When it comes to telling something that might happen to me or someone close to me, I'm just about bursting at the seams to TELL! I'm like the Kristin Wiig SNL character, Sue, who "just gets so freakin' ex-CITED!" Yep, I want to shout it out loud!

But I won't.....I can't....tell...well, can't means won't, doesn't it? Anyhoo, you'll have to stay tuned in the next few weeks to see what materializes...IF it materializes.....see, I always jump the gun and probably jinx it, dangit! Enough of this.....how was your weekend?
We never made it to Kansas, and it makes me sad that I missed the Alton Jubilee and seeing my cousin, Jan,
but we may get out there this fall for a visit and do some pheasant hunting. I ended up getting three orders for
Saturday (yesterday) and Andrew had his first hockey practices, and went to his first concert last night with
some friends. They saw a local band, and they invited Andrew and the boys up on stage to start the 1-2-3,
and then stayed to do some head banging to the tunes. Andrew said it was so sick, and totally insane. As you all well know, that means awesome and wonderful in 14-year-old-speak. Lawdy, I'm feeling old!!
Hoss and I stayed in and after the deliveries, ate our own dinner together: Roasted Pork Loin with Curry Pecan Rice, which was a great menu to follow the fabulous Rye Manhattans that he made for us. A small
Apple Rustica for dessert - a la mode, of course. A nice fall feel to the menu then in and out of a snooze while watching "The Fly". It was so much more gruesome than I remember, and Fox Movie Channel doesn't edit for TV. How come we have 900 channels and never anything great to watch ??? Give me a
Goldie Hawn or Christopher Guest movie and I'm a happy happy girl! Maybe next time....
The ponies both got baths today and are just glistening! There's this product called M-T-G that is kind of
a cure all/groom all product that smells like smoky sour bacon, and is just as greasy, but it's brilliant!
Rom's mane and tail are positively glossy coal wavy strands of beauty! Will's coat is as shiny rusty
red as a rich old fine aged whisky! They're my beautiful boys. I even convinced Hoss to block the driveway
with the cars so I could let them loose to munch on the rich grasses around the yard and by the barn
while their coats dried. They were like giddy little children who sneak out the door to play instead of
taking their naps! It was so fun to watch them! They knew they weren't in the same old fenced in
pastures!
Now off to la-la land.....a light frittata for dinner, homemade banana bread and deep slumber. What
could be a better way to end the busy weekend? Hope yours was spectacular! XO!
